i was looking for something easy to draw and, as it turns out, this wasn't it. drawing people using bows is surprisingly tricky. you may notice i didn't draw the fletching of the arrow because it would have covered clint's mouth and face. i didn't realize it until i was committed to the pose/layout. i just say its one of clint's "trick" arrows.

i also need to keep reminding myself to do thumbs more often; especially when working on 2 (or more) characters on separate pieces of paper. this is what i get for not doing thumbs. :(

thank you. i always complained when they would draw a character holding a bow wrong or awkwardly. now, i know why they do what they do. :D because 9 times out of 10, the archer's palm or the arrow's fletching or the string covers/obscures lower half of the face.

Tell me about it, its something that can end up looking so cliche too, always the same one or two poses, because its so hard to do, I mean with a martial artist you can draw their bodies contorting in any variety of ways, but its harder with an archer, using the bow as their instrument, your body has to do certain things to retain focus, you have captured him amazingly well, and your bobbi, she is fantastic, I absolutely love her current design, am happy to see how you portrayed her here!!
