Oh! I just wrote a long rant of a journal about the 4th season finale...um, I'd like to see if any fellow fans have any sort of agreements with my thoughts on it. It is a bit long, but if you wouldn't mind skimming through it and giving your thoughts on it I'd greatly appreciate it: [link]
i understand most of your points, and even agree with some of them to a certain extent. but the thing is, i don't sweat the details. it wasn't important to me where who came from or how what happened. what i was more interested about was what happens when those things come into play in the story. DW seasons are usually 13 episodes, and i would prefer adventure and character, to explanations on technical stuff.
for the stuff i can't explain, i just chalk it up to the doctor just being the doctor, or alien super-science, or timey-wimey stuff.
its a trend that is carried out through the show. "what? the doctor got married? haha! oh that rascal...". "the master's DNA from mrs. saxon's lips? wow that alien tech is so far beyond our human capabilities! (or wow time-lord physiology really is different! even their spit can last a long time on someone's lips)".
your criticisms are fair, and i'm sure it would bug the living SHIT out of me if it were another show. but since its the doctor... i can get over it. ;D
(that's not to excuse bad DW episodes, because i'm sure i can think of some, its just that i can give it a free pass easily because i love the show so much).
Ah, lol thanks. Yeah when it comes straight down to it, I loved the character development, but, I guess I probably get all this stuff from being Trekie, XD I'm quite logical when I think out how a story progresses and if it doesn't make sense or if something just pops out of nowhere without a logical explanation, it just seems to bother me throughout the entire thing. XD;; idk why. but I watched about 90% of the episode with this face

Lol, ah thanks, :3 and yeah, XD I'll be able to live with it, it'll just bug me for a bit. But, I'll get over it, lol I love the show and the Doctor just too much! LOL
(exactly, there have been a few eps here and there that I just didn't care for, but every show has that lol)
